1. What is a software robot?

Answer: Robot software is software that aims to automate human activities. It has no physical or mechanical parts. In its action, it imitates human activities on a computer – it uses keyboard and mouse movement.

2. What does the robot look like?

Answer: The robot does not look interesting – it is a set of lines of code that make up one whole and based on o digital data replicate human work. Modern platforms allow the robot to be depicted as a business process diagram. However, it is much easier to notice the work of the robot, i.e. what is happening on the computer screen and what applications are opened – it is a copy of the human work at the desk.

3. How to distinguish robots?

Answer: Each robot has an individual identity that allows it to be identified, so it is not necessary to name them. Many companies try to name their “charges” to build a bond between employees and digital colleagues. Each robot is unique, has its own technical name, also works on its own account, has a login and password, so it can be found just like any other employee.

4. How is a robot different from a human?

Answer: Robots perform complex calculations and take part in complex processes, they work according to a strictly defined procedure. Human, on the other hand, can think, learn and make unconventional decisions that are impossible to achieve for robots programmed for repetitive work.

5. Can a robot be smarter than a human?

Answer: Robots aren’t smarter than humans. In the case of the automation of business processes, the robot only imitates human work. And although it has an advantage in the efficiency of mass work on data, it is still not his forte to conduct analyzes, talks and meetings. Of course, it should be remembered that the next stage of development is artificial intelligence.

6. Should we be afraid of robots?

Answer: Definitely not. The robot should be seen as a helper, support for tedious, repetitive and boring tasks. He is a colleague who will always help us and do the job, allowing us to take on more creative and interesting activities.

7. Can each of us work with a robot?

Answer: Anyone can start working with a robot – regardless of age, sex, experience, etc. A robot can be treated as a co-worker who we cannot see, but we get the results of our work. He is no different than the person working at the desk, you cannot just talk to him and ask about anything.

8. What is the main goal of robotization?

Answer: The main goal of robotization is to relieve employees from tedious, repetitive activities
and the elimination of the so-called human error. Thanks to this, the company’s employees will be able to concentrate on creative and creative work, which will become more innovative and also better paid. Employees’ satisfaction with their duties will also increase.

9. Does a robot work faster than a human?

Answer: As a rule, a robot is more effective than a human. The speed scale depends on the systems on which both robots and humans perform their work. Robots are also able to work longer than humans – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

10. Are the robots wrong too?

Answer: A well-programmed robot does not make mistakes. Someone responsible for designing the robot may make a mistake, but carrying out appropriate tests will guarantee that the robot will not make a mistake during its work. However, when an emergency occurs, the robot will ask its guardian for help, and will not make further inappropriate decisions itself.

11. Do robots go on holidays?

Answer: Not. Robots can work continuously 24 hours a day. Regardless of the amount of work, the robot will perform it until the end of the received data, so it can work overtime at any time. If there is a demand, you can duplicate the work of one robot by adding another – which allows you to cope with fluctuations in volumes. If the robot is not needed, it can also be turned off. The work break, however, lasts much shorter than the employee’s vacation.

12. Do robots work at night?

Answer: Yes. If a given process requires tasks to be performed at night or at weekends, the robot performs them regardless of the time of day.
