1. How long does it take to correct errors that may occur in the robot’s operation?

Answer: In the case of minor changes related to modifications in the application interfaces, e.g. adapting the robot to the new button location, it will take a few minutes. In turn, errors dictated by the wrong design of the process flow or the reconstruction of the entire application on which the robot works, may result in a repair that takes several or several hours.

2. What skills and traits should a Robo Shepherd have?

Answer: There is no canon of features required for an employee working with robots, but the basic skills of our Robo Shepherds include:

  • analytical thinking,
  • openness to new solutions,
  • the ability to think outside the box,
  • accuracy,
  • patience.

3. Can I break robot by working with it?

Answer:  Robots do not have a material form, they operate on the basis of an appropriate algorithm. By following the appropriate rules and regulations and not making any changes to the robot’s work, it is not possible to break it.

4. When is the best time to start automating your processes?

Answer: Every moment is good to implement robots. The idea of automating the process, and thus the demand for a robot, may appear during e.g. high team rotation, retirement of a group of people or the replacement of the company’s operating systems, but also when decisions are made to relieve employees from repetitive and tedious activities.

5. How to prepare a company for the implementation of robotization?

Answer: You do not need to prepare systems for the implementation of robotization – good communication and willingness to cooperate are enough. It is important to precisely prepare the instructions on which specialists work and to be ready for proposals to introduce process automation and to conduct honest and open communication with employees. After all, robots are supposed to support them, so people should not be afraid of losing their jobs.

6. What infrastructure is necessary to introduce a robot in the company?

Answer: If you choose Robot-as-a-Service, you do not need any additional IT infrastructure on the part of the company. The people responsible for the robot ensure that it has the appropriate resources and the basis for faultless performance of the work assigned to it at all times.

7. How to choose a process for automation?

Answer: You can choose the process to be automated. It should be highly repeatable, have to process digital data and take place on stable systems. By cooperating with Digital Teammates, you will receive support in choosing the best processes that are characterized by the so-called robotic potential.

8. Does the process selected for automation have to be 100% robotic?

Answer: In an ideal world, a robot should automate a certain process in 100%, but this is not always possible due to its high complexity. Often, processes also require human involvement. The goal of the robot is not to fully replace the employee, but to relieve him of repetitive activities, which is why in many cases part of the process is robotized (e.g. 50%, 70% or 90%), and the human hands have the part of the process that requires specialist knowledge.

9. Can the robot be expanded endlessly?

Answer: In theory, there is no limit to the number of changes that can be made to the robot. It all depends on whether the update is profitable. In practice, we are only limited by common sense and imagination.

10. What is the best Christmas gift for a robotics practitioner?

Answer: Apart from health, peace and relaxation, we wish all robotization apprentices wonderful gifts during this festive season!

In our opinion, the perfect surprise may be:

  • a book on the automation of business processes,
  • programming course,
  • interesting film on robotic topics,
  • Buildable robot from Lego bricks.

11. Is the robot ready to go during Christmas?

Answer: If a given process requires tasks to be performed during the holiday season, the robot will perform them regardless of whether other employees are at work then. Digital Teammate is ready to go no matter how many file volumes are to be processed. When a demand arises, you can also duplicate the work of one robot by adding another.

12. Can processes be changed after robotization?

Answer: Yes. Automated processes can be changed, updated and improved at any time, and the robot will be able to adapt to the changes taking place in the Organization.

13. Is there anything that limits the development of robots?

Answer: The robot operates on the basis of a code, i.e. an appropriate algorithm, so the greatest obstacle may be the occurrence of an emergency and unforeseen situation. Therefore, in the event of problems with processing unstructured data, an update is required, which also occurs with each change made to the systems on which it operates.

14. How often are running robots updated?

Answer:  The frequency of changes made to the robot depends on the update frequency in the systems. Each modification in the applications and systems on which the robot works will require adapting it to the new operating scheme. Similarly, in the case of changes dictated by business aspects – the more often we modify the course of the process, the more often the robot will require updating. In the case of Digital Teammates, the robots are updated several times a week, so that they are capable of continuous work.
