1. What to look for during choosing the best robotization offer in your company?

Answer: When deciding to implement RPA in the enterprise, special attention should be paid to aspects such as: budget, profitability, human resources, infrastructure and licenses. Careful comparison of these features while comparing offers will allow you to choose the one that best suits your company’s needs. It will also be important to determine at the beginning of the project who will be responsible for the modification and maintenance of the robots.

2. Why do enterprises decide to robotize?

Answer: The main reasons for companies using robotization include: reducing operating costs, improving efficiency, making the company independent of volume fluctuations, freeing employees from repetitive tasks and the desire to react faster to the changing market.

3. Do robots require additional documentation?

Answer: It is recommended to document the work of robots and to record the processes that have already been automated, especially when a number of processes in the company are subject to robotization. It is worth emphasizing that robotic platforms often present the robot’s code in the form of a process flowchart, which means that the code itself is always the most up-to-date documentation.

4. What is a chatbot?

Answer: A chatbot is a type of computer program that allows people to interact with devices – it simulates communication with a real person based on a text interface.

5. What is a voicebot?

Answer: Voicebot, a computer program that enables communication based on a voice interface. It receives audio messages, then converts them into text, prepares the answer so that it finally sounds to the recipient using a speech synthesizer.

6. How is a chatbot different from a voicebot?

Answer: The main difference between a chatbot and a voicebot is that the first one is based on a text interface, and the other one is based on a voice interface. Although both are based on text analysis, the voicebot must additionally process (listen to and generate responses) the analyzed material. So you can say that the voicebot is a more powerful tool.

7. What is the life cycle of a robot?

Answer: The first step in creating a robot is identifying the process that will be automated. The next step is to work on the preparation of the Digital Teammate, i.e. programming it and preparing it for work (the so-called development). Then the created robot is tested and implemented. The stages of updating, expanding and maintaining should not be forgotten.

8. What are the features of leading robotics platforms?

Answer: The features of the leading robotization platforms include: the fact that they do not require programming skills from the user. Employees can be trained in the use of RPA tool automation. It has a simple and intuitive interface for users. In addition to supporting the robotization of business processes, they also provide a number of possibilities to monitor the process progress.

9. Does the robot always work?

Answer: When implementing robotization, companies often forget about the dynamically changing business environment. We all observe situations that force changes to applications, programs, and even the course of processes itself. That is why it is so important to maintain the robot and keep it updated. The robot launched today may not meet the expectations and conditions, and may also function properly in the realities of the next month.

10. What is Thin Client and Thick Client?

Answer: Thin Client is software designed to allow access to a certain service or program on the server. The functionality of Thin Client is directly related to the Internet connection and access to servers. Thick Client is software that implements its own functions and needs much more resources. It can connect to data on the server and does not need a continuous network connection for this.

11. What does Screen Scrapping mean?

Answer: Screen Scraping is the process of capturing data displayed on the screen. This data is compared with the information stored by the robot in order to decrypt it. Screen scraping is great for working with application interfaces that cannot be directly accessed via the user interface.

12. How is RPA different from a script?

Answer: A script is closely related to the system on which it is executed and refers to the general definition of a code sequence that is responsible for performing a certain task. RPA, on the other hand, has functions that significantly exceed the capabilities of the script, such as OCR or AI, and above all, the ability to interact with many different applications.

13. Is there a visible difference in the number of robots implemented in 2022 compared to previous years?

Answer: More and more companies notice that the best way to make the company independent of such problems as: lack of continuity of work, rotation, volume fluctuations is to hand over tasks to robots. The years 2022 and 2021 are marked by a significant increase in the implemented robots compared to the number of automations from years ago.

14. What new professions may arise in connection with robotization?

Answer: Currently, a number of professions related to RPA solutions have appeared on the labor market. We can include among them, among others Robotization specialists, RPA analysts, and above all, Robot Shepherds who take care of robots from the creation of automation concepts to ongoing maintenance. This trend will continue to develop along with the increasing specialization of tasks. Additionally, combining robotics with AI will increase the demand for “robot teachers”.

15. How to convince employees to support the process of searching for robotic tasks?

Answer: The task of the robot is to support employees, facilitate tasks and take care of performing activities that have so far been repetitive and generated errors as a result of human work. A well-written robot means that employees can take care of much more interesting and creative tasks. As a result, their motivation grows and they become natural ambassadors of robotization.
